PRASED study investigates the effectiveness of a combination of antidepressants, personalized M-ECT and lithium in reducing relapse rates after successful ECT. Previous studies have shown a success in elderly, but the efficacy in a severely depressed population of all ages has never been assessed. The specific focus of this study is the effect of lithium in addition to symptom-based maintenance ECT in preventing relapse after successful ECT.
